Nicole gets licked

Four Australian actors were named the 2009 Australia Post Australian Legends, and will feature on a series of eight stamps. The actors include Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchette, Russell Crowe and Geoffrey Rush. Each actor features on two stamps - one a portrait and one featuring them in one of their films. Australia Post said that the actors were tremendous ambassadors for Australia on the world stage. All actors were thrilled to receive the honour and to see themselves on stamps. Nicole responded by saying "I want my children to live here at certain times of their life and see how wonderful it is".

I imagine that with the release of Nicole Kidman stamps, emailing will suddenly become the most preferred method of communication in this country. Why is Nicole considered a tremendous ambassador by Australia Post? All shes does is make flop after flop movie, and in the process embarrass her fellow Australians. Please let on if you know the reason. And why does she want her children to live here sometime, when she won't herself. Unlike Cate, Russell and Geoffrey who all live here, Nicole wouldn't dream of it. That's why she hasn't lived here since 1989.
Another question for you. Why did our former Prime Minister twice add her to the Australian of the Year nomination list when more deserving people should have come before her? He would ramble on about her contribution to film (that is her job for Pete's sake, do the rest of us get a nomination for our work?), and her charity work (this is once in a blue moon, when she visits Sydney Children's Hospital - these are just photo opportunities for her). Any clues?
